What is New Media?

New Media is an evolution from Old Media. New Media is easy and fast to use than the Old Media. Based on the article, “Who Needs a TV? I’m Watching on a Laptop,” people started to get rid of their television set last year and watched shows on laptops. (New York Time, 12.3.2008.) This is one of the examples for New Media. New Media is mainly connected with network. People go online to download songs, watch shows, communicate with others, doing research, and so on. New Media is making technology products to become as tiny as they can. Then, people can easy to carry them to travel around such as the ipod instead of walkman; an electronic dictionary instead of a hard cover paper dictionary; and a 3-in-1 cell phone instead of a camera, mp3, and telephone.
